What is Plastic

Plastic is a synthetic, substance of organic chemistry that can be produced from petrochemicals. Though many people think of plastic as a new invention, it has been around for only about 100 years. The word "plastic" derives from the Greek root plastics, which means "able to be shaped or molded" or "resilient".

Plastic Material 

The material in which this product is made of is called plastic. Plastic is an inert, synthetic polymer made from petrochemicals that can be poured or molded into various shapes and used as injection molding materials. It has been used for more than 50 years as a substitute for natural rubber, polystyrene and polyvinyl chloride (PVC).

The polymer chain bonds with various forms of metal ions to form conductors or semiconductors to form insulators.
